Nashoot Photography

Jose Ignacio Vasquez better known as “Nashoot Photography” it is a Venezuelan with Colombian roots . He is a professional surf photographer, with great passion for the ocean.

From the age of 12 he had a curiosity for extreme sports photography, by that time he used the disposable Kodak of 27 photos, where he could portray images in the water. It is here where for the first time he felt the connection of being in the ocean swimming with his fins, in the middle of waves and currents.

After more than 15 years practicing Bodyboard, he had the opportunity to buy his first professional camera, and start take surf photos, however, the idea was feel that connection he had in the past, and it was taking photos in the water, and being able to show from another perspective the action that really happens in the sea, the adrenaline of being in the middle of the impact zone where the waves crash, is what makes it something magical, having the possibility to share my images with many people who maybe not have had the opportunity to live it up close but somehow through the photos they can feel the sensation of being in that exact moment, it is what make me fills grateful as a photographer, Surf photography requires a certain level of planning, hard work and a bit of lucky.

Nashoot was able to expand his knowledge and experience, working and capturing lifestyle photos for some clothing brands, swimwear and professional surfers, as well as articles for national and international newspapers.

He had the opportunity to travel through fews countries, expanding his vision, recording images of beautiful beaches and extraordinary landscapes, which sometimes we do not usually appreciate. And through this space he can share a small sample of the work he has been doing over the years.
